I was so honored to be invited to show my EK at the Golden Era – Grid icons event at Griots Garage hosted by Sam from Pit+ Paddock this previous weekend. When the roll-in time was sent out, everyones names and cars were listed. Not to fangirl or whatever, but I saw the list and my jaw dropped because these were some heavy hitters in the NW, including British Columbia. Some that have been in the car scene since before I was of age to understand, and some that are just as new as I am to the game. Nonetheless as I’ve said before, the invite was surreal and so was being surrounded by such inspiring people that take part in paving the way in the car community. I’ve always hoped to make a difference somehow also.
Arriving at Griots Garage everyone was a bit late from the rain storms and terrible I5 traffic due to the endless lane closure. I drove maybe 40mph or less for a good hour, just to make it to this event. I’m glad everyone made it safely, and was down from the go – rain or shine, I admire the PNW for that.
It’s been 3 weeks since I’d tracked my car and the last gave it any attention. It had all the track imperfections on it such as tar marks and tire tread hanging out the fenders hahah.. So you can imagine me trying to get it show ready just in time for the event. I got to record some of the EK prep & parts of the show posted on my YouTube, and took some pictures in between also! Thank you to the team who hosted the event, and to those who still read my blogs after 4 years haha
Enjoy!
